Our Mission

The Consortium, a Des Moines business club, supports, develops and promotes women leaders through education, mentoring and networking for personal and professional growth.

Our Purpose

The Consortium was formed in 1978 by eight women professionals. Members support each other in their professions and meet for breakfast and social events to share camaraderie, business knowledge, and community and civic information.

When We Meet

The Consortium typically meets the first and third Thursday mornings of each month. Meetings begin at 7:15 a.m., guest speakers at 7:45, and adjournment by 8:30. Four times per year, evening business meetings are held.  We enjoy monthly social activities while supporting each other outside of the workplace.
